THSTI, in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad, is dedicated to research that aims at translating health concepts to products that can greatly enhance human health. Overview of the Institute and Roles

BRIC-THSTI is a Government of India Department of Biotechnology Institute. We have a strong research ecosystem consisting of many established centers, such as the Centre for Maternal and Child Health, the Centre for Virus Research, and the Data Management Centre, bolstered by core facilities, such as the Biosafety Level-3 Lab or Multi-Omics facility.

1. Lab Technician (Pay Level 4)

This role is essential for maintaining and supporting our high-impact translational research programs, focusing heavily on microbiology and molecular techniques.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills

The candidate will be in charge of the technical implementation and day-to-day running of the lab:

1. Carrying out DNA and RNA sequencing analyses.
2. Performing the study of antibiotic resistance genes.
3. The culture and manipulation of antibiotic resistant bacteria.
4. Good understanding of molecular biology, microbiology and biochemistry.
5. Inventory control of a research lab and routine maintenance of the lab.
6. Implementing media planning and orderly sample storage.
7. Effective communication, appropriate understanding of scientific communication

2. Data Entry Operator (Pay Level 5)

This administrative position plays a key role to facilitate the different functional units of the Institute such as HR, finance and academics.

The Data Entry Operator will also provide effective data management and administration of different departments:

1. Recognizing how to work in a computer environment.
2. Data management/functional and operational support of HR & Administration functions.
3. Stores and Purchase Operations.
4. Assistance in Finance & Accounts.
5. Serving the Academics department.
6. The ability to exhibit a high level of awareness of Government Rules and Regulations as they relate to administrative functions.

• Appropriate experience certificates.
• Forwarding (letter) / No Objection Certificate (NOC) form the present employer, where he/she is employed in Govt. / PSUs / autonomous bodies.
• Caste / Disability certificate in the form prescribed by the Government of India.
